Who they are
Tik Tok Services Thailand is a visa and driving licence agency on Chaiyapruek Road in Jomtien. The name has nothing to do with the social media app. It is run by Tik.
Tik is a personal friend, and I have known her for over ten years. I have known her husband for over twenty. I should also tell you that they are clients of ours: we rent out their properties through both of my agencies, East Coast Real Estate and Alan Bolton Property Consultants. So this is not a recommendation from a stranger, and you should know that.
How I know her work
I have been her customer too. A few years ago Tik helped me get my Thai driving licence. She took care of the whole process, from the paperwork to the appointment, and she even picked me up and drove me to the licensing office herself.
That is what you are paying an agent like this for. You still do what the law requires you to do in person. What changes is that someone who does this every week has checked your documents, knows which counter to go to and is standing next to you when a question comes up.

- Buyers. A Thai bank account is part of bringing money into the country properly for a purchase.
- Anyone who wants to drive legally. A Thai licence is worth having if you live here, for insurance as much as anything else.
A word of caution about agents in general
Visa and licensing rules in Thailand change, sometimes at short notice, and different offices can apply them differently. No honest agent can guarantee an outcome, and you should be wary of anyone who promises a result without the proper documents or offers to skip a step that the law requires.
A good agent does the opposite. They tell you what you need, tell you plainly when you do not qualify, and get the paperwork right the first time. That is why I send people to Tik. Ask her what applies to your own situation, because the answer depends on your nationality, your age and how long you plan to stay.
