Planet Kitchen Pattaya: the kitchen company we recommend in Jomtien

9 October 2026By Shane Ruddle

People ask us for recommendations every week. Once someone has the keys to a condo or a house, the questions change from "which building?" to "who can I trust to do the work?" For kitchens, our answer is Planet Kitchen in Pattaya.

This is the first in a series on local businesses we are happy to put our name beside. Nobody has paid to be included, and we do not take a commission for sending you there.

Who they are

Planet Kitchen is a kitchen company on Thepprasit Road, the road that links Jomtien with Sukhumvit and is home to most of the area's furniture and home-improvement showrooms. The company has been registered in Thailand since 2010, which in a town where businesses come and go is a long time.

It is run by Kieran Oldham. I should say plainly that Kieran is a friend, and I have known him for nearly twenty years. That is exactly why I am comfortable recommending him. I have had a long time to see how he does business.

Why we recommend them

It is a professional operation. A kitchen is one of the more complicated things you will fit in a home. Plumbing, electrics, worktops and appliances all have to meet in the same few square metres, and one wrong measurement shows for years. This is a job for people who do it every day.

They are small enough to care. You are not a job number. In a business of this size the person who owns it knows about your kitchen, and that matters most on the day something needs putting right.

The prices are competitive. A fitted kitchen is never cheap, but you should come away feeling you paid a fair price for what you got.

They know what they are talking about. Good advice at the start saves money later: what will last in a humid seaside climate, what is worth spending on and what is not.

They have been here for years. A kitchen should come with someone you can go back to. A company that has traded in the same town for a decade and a half is likely to still be there when you need them.

Who this is for

  • Owners who have just bought. Many resale condos in Jomtien still have the kitchen the developer fitted fifteen or twenty years ago. Replacing it is often the single change that makes the place feel like yours.
  • Landlords. A tired kitchen is one of the first things a prospective tenant notices in the photographs. A new one can be the difference between a unit that lets quickly and one that sits.
  • Owners preparing to sell. Buyers forgive dated bedrooms far more readily than a dated kitchen.

If you are not sure whether a new kitchen is worth it for a rental, ask us first. We can tell you what tenants in your building expect and what similar units achieve.

How to find them

A note on our recommendations

We only write about businesses we would use ourselves or send our own clients to. If you use one of them and it does not go well, tell us. A recommendation is only worth something if we are prepared to hear that.
